Guest guest
Hi -- I'm like you--I've gotten pg very easily, but something always went wrong. I'm sorry to hear about your two ectopics. You have found an excellent place for support. I don't know where I'd be without the understanding women on this group--probably feeling very alone. It scares me a little that your HSG found clear tubes and you still had another ectopic. I've heard that can be fairly common. I was recently told both my tubes are also clear, but I guess there's always some risk after one ep. I was also treated with metho, and I also had a huge cyst (golf-ball sized) that went away on its own. I think my cyst was caused by clomid. Anyway, we have a lot in common. Welcome to the group. Guest guest
, Welcome to the group! Sorry we've had to meet under these circumstances, but glad that you found us. I am sorry that you've had to go through so much. It is good news that the HSG showed both your tube are open! Don't get discouraged about not being pg again since starting in Jan...it might take a little while, but it will happen!! Good luck! -AmyR

Guest guest
, Thanks for the note. Yeah, I was concerned after finding out that my tubes were clear and that I still had 2 ectopics. At the time of the ectopics,I was smoking a PACK A DAY and was not TTC, so maybe the smoking damaged my cilia. I have since quit, and I hope they will repair themselves. This is the only theory I cancome up with. I've also never had an STD, an IUD, etc. HmMMMMM..... I look forward to more chats with you. We DO have a lot in common. See Ya! __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Hi , I'm worried about my cilia too. I guess the HSG can't detect what's going on with those little hairy fellows. I have never heard of a relationship between smoking and damaged cilia or ectopics--but regardless, I'm so glad you quit. That is such an amazing accomplishment and will benefit both you and your soon-to- be baby. Now, if only my sister-in-law and some of my friends would quit ... I've never had an STD either, but I have had bad pap smears and a condition called dysplasia. It seems that there is a relationship between dysplasia and ectopics, as a lot of other women on this group have mentioned having it too. I wish you the best in your ttc efforts. Ain't that 's Law in that you get pg when you're not trying, but not when you are trying? If you haven't already, buy the book " Taking Charge of Your Fertility. " It'll tell you everything you need to know about timing and such.

Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to the group. I am sorry you had to find us but I think you will find that these women are really supportive, sweet, and knowledgeable. I recently joined and honestly, it has been a blessing. I had so many emotions, I didn't know if I was " normal " but come to find out I am (well, as close as I am going to get!lol) Anyway, I had my ep Dec 00. Dr. treated me with metho. inj but before b/w back, it ruptured and I had surgery to remove my rt tube. I have been waiting to schedule my hsg (if I am lucky, this month) I know it can be so hard to sit around and wait but I am sure it will happen for you and dh soon. Meanwhile, you now have us to talk or vent anytime. Also, let me congratulate you on deciding to stop smoking! I know it is hard to do. (Eps happen for many different reasons, so try not to feel bad your that smoking might of had something to do with ep, no one could ever really say) Just good luck now and hope to talk to you again. Welcome __________________________________________________
