Dilema

Hello. I am a new member. I sent in my " story " 2 or 3 weeks ago.

My story is a tad unique in that I have never been pg nor have I had

a D & C for any reason. I am 32 and just got married on New Year's Eve.

This leads me to my dilema.. I saw an RE this week in San

and his response to me was that I couldn't have Asherman's because I

have never had a D & C. During my research I have learned otherwise.

(Can be caused by uterine infections). The dilema is that he wants

to do a Hysterscopy but if he finds anything, he wants to do

the " cutting " right there. Even before I know what the diagnosis

is! I can't tell you how many times I read in these emails to see an

A-List Doctor. Easier said than done however between balancing a

career, a sick mother, a new marriage, not to mention the cost

involved. It would be easier to afford the trips to see an A-List

if we didn't have to rely on IVF (My tubes are blocked). I just

reviewed a summary of the costs on that puppy yesterday! Yikes.

I'm an Engineer by trade so I tend to be very logical and

practical but my heart is screaming at me to not let this Dr. do any

cutting until I know exactly how bad it is. I screamed during my

Saline Sonogram yesterday. When she put the catheter in, it touched

the back wall of my uterus (I guess) and I literally convulsed in

pain. Has anyone else had pain during procedures like this due to

Ashermans? My husband had to leave the room, he couldn't stand to

see me in that much pain.

Help me decide to let an A-List Dr. do my surgery! Would talking to

one of the Doctors on the phone help? Would they talk to me (without

the $300 consult that I have paid to 2 Dr's already for nothing!)

Thanks for your support,

Kim
