Guest guest
Christy, thank you so much. When I read that you posted I was your inspiration I started to cry because I know what it is like to see when someone here posts they are pg...it is one of the things, along with all the great support and understanding, that got me through every single step I have been through! I never thought I would be in this place, and I can't wait to watch everyone try to move on from our loss and become new mommies! Thanks for keeping me in your prayers. Take care of yourself. --> > __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Do the Chokos have any particular food value? RE: christy , Thanks for this site. I've had a look through and found a couple of recipes that I could use (with adaptation). On top of the digestive problems I have because of my Crohn's, I've just been diagnosed "diabetic" as well. At this stage we are trying to treat the diabetes through "diet" changes only. But it is really, really difficult to find ways to eat "lettuce and kukuyu grass" as my husband calls my dietary restrictions. I looked through many of the "diabetes" recipes but found very few that also fit in with my "vegetarian only" and Crohn's restrictions. I've attached a list of the foods I can and cannot tolerate. If anyone wants a challenge perhaps they could come up with some creative suggestions for me. I have another appointment with the dietician in 3 weeks time but she is already pulling her hair out with me. Guest guest
Jane, Chokos were actually in my e-mail attachment as a food I could eat. I think Christy was just replying to my request for suggestions on actual meals I could prepare from my limited food tolerance list. I'm sure chokos must have a "food value" as they are a vegetable. I would think it has similar value to a pumpkin as, once it is cooked it has similar texture and consistency. I know a lot of it is water. It grows on a vine like a pumpkin and has vertical indentations like a pumpkin but it is green. RobynJane Hutchinson wrote: Do the Chokos have any particular food value?
