Mitch - sounds like a great wk. Motivation does wonders. Sometimes I

don't even know where it comes from, it will just all of a sudden be

there. I had a good loss last wk, of 2.4 lbs and when I have one like

that it usually means that the next one will be considerably lower or

none at all. I have been having a great wk so far also. I am still

pumped, this wk I have really been munching the apples, must be

because they are local, and taste so great! and I am still getting

more protein in, which I think makes a big difference in keeping my

cravings at bay. Cravings always do me in, if I don't have something

around thats " satisfys " them. Funny last wk it was pears that did the

trick....Kallie

Kallie,

Thanks - yes, I'm all of a sudden super-motivated and I don't know

where it

came from. Maybe its' a bounce back from my tough week last week; maybe its

support from this group; maybe its' knowing that I have this business

trip to CA

next week and knowing that I want a strong week, because that will be a bit

of challenge; - whatever, its' all good.....

I too, have been in a big loss, little loss, big loss, little loss

pattern - so that, combined

with a strong week, I'm hoping for a strong weigh-in before I leave on

Saturday.

Congrats again on your progress - I'm partial to the summer fruits,

but we did go

Apple Picking several weeks ago, so, I too, have been munching on apples

the last

few weeks - even cutting 'em up and mixing apple slices with my Kashi -

good stuff!!!!

I find what works best for me from a satiation standpoint is a pretty

balanced mix

of proteins, carbs & some fats - so i try to get a little each day.

Everyone needs to

find the mix that keeps them most satisfied. My greatest challenge has

always been

and continues to be controlling my snacking - I'm finding now that if I

substitute one

of my 3 daily allotted snacks (mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and late

night) with a

0-point treat (cucumber or sliced green pepper or celery), I'm just as

satisfied and

I obviously, have more points available for my main meals. This is

something I know

I knew, but for some reason, it comes as a revelation to me. :-)
