Guest guest
Have any of you experienced high blood pressure 170-200 with predisone. I have been on 10 mg of predisone since 12-98 because I can't take anti-inflam, nor any of the immunosuppressants neither because they affect my breathing (asthma). I hope to start reducing the dosage. I tried to do that in March of this and it caused problems. I think I went down too fast. However, my blood sugar (lab work from rheumatologists office last week) was 207. Finally, I phoned them after a week and asked how are the labs? And they tell me this; see your primary care physician soon. Well, my feet are swollen especially on the tops of my feet near the toes and up. I feel so tired and sometimes it is hard to keep my eyes open, so tired. I started on the minocycline last Wed 50 mg on mwf so far. I will up it soon. Anyway, any one have high blood sugar problems with predisone, and did you go on insulin tablets, etc. Any comments/ideas. Thanks Martha P.S. I have an appt with Dr. in morning (GP) of course more blood work will have to be done and probably another two days for the results!! This sounds bad to me. I have never had diabetes before or high blood sugar. It was always around 100 before predisone days.
