Hi a,

Good on you - Dr G is fab as far as I am concerned! My Obs is called Pooley and he works in Kingston Hospital on the NHS, and also has a private practise at the New just outside Kingston. I really recommend him. Although I don't think he is classed as a 'High Risk' Obs, I really really like him and he is very honest and caring. He also has me having regular scans at St s in Tooting where the equipment is state of the art as well as at Kingston, so I feel he is taking good care of me. He fully supported my going to see Dr G (he had heard of him), and I saw him for follow up appointments afterwards. Dr G put me on oestregen for 3 months - thru' till July, and I then conceived in October. Mr Pooley and I had decided if I hadn't conceived by Christmas to look at further steps, but this obviously turned out not to be necessary. He has tracked me for the whole of this pregnancy and I will have the baby at Kingston, probably by C-section, under his care. It has been a difficult pregnancy in that it is TOTALLY different to my first, successful one (from which I had retained placenta). That first one was 'textbook', no sickness, no bleeding, everything boringly normal. With this one I felt dreadful for the first 3 months, altho' was never sick. I have also had 2 episdodes of bleeding where I was admitted for a couple of nights, but here I still am. I also had a CVS for a higher than average nuchal scan, but that came back normal too. There is no way of knowing whether this is all related to my Ashermans or not, as everyone says, all pregnancies are different. I just can't wait for July!

It may be worthwhile to see if you like Mr Pooley, it may help he is aware of Dr G and his work and my results. I can give you phone numbers if you need them. Just let me know. Please let me know what you decide - I will be keeping fingers crossed for you!

Love, M

Hello ,

Thanks for the reply. I am hopefully going to Germany towards the end of April. I am going to my GP on Thurs. and will ask to be referred to Mr.Pooley. Is it worth seeing him before I go to have the blood tests, lung and cardio tests done with him? I'll keep you up to date with my next steps,

Love,

a
