It's Alma. I am sorry that I have been out of touch due to coping with ttc, depression, and the craziness of work. Know that I have been thinking of each of you and continue to wish you well with every thing. I am on my 5th try of Clomid. I will be ovulating late this weekend and on Monday, so may I ask that you pray or send good vibes to me? Please... I am sure each of you understand the urgency and sometimes desperation (even though we do not want to admit it outwardly). For those of you who do not know me, I was diagnosed with severe AS after my first pregnancy in October 2001 that resulted in a silent miscarriage at around 7-8 weeks. I did not have my period since the D & C in November 2001 until I had corrective surgery with Dr. March, an A-list doctor in May 2002. Even when induced with meds, I never had a period. I flew to CA for the surgery and coordinated with local doctors to do my follow-ups. For a couple of months, I had to have my periods induced after surgery because my period never came. My surgeon stated that it may take awhile for my hormones to get back to normal, but I did not want to waste any time waiting. So, I asked for meds. Finally, I had my own natural period. Keep in mind that I do have PCOS. Because of PCOS and to ensure ovulation, the doctor started me on Clomid 50 mg. I got pregnant during my third try. I had a second missed abortion (silent miscarriage) at 4 weeks old in December 2002. I had all my blood work done to check my hormones, thyroid, antibodies, toxoplasmosis, diabetes, etc. All came back normal. My LH and FSH were just slightly elevated which confirms PCOS. Other than that, and an ok HSG, all looks okay. I am speculating the final theory of stress, or even a combination of stress and old eggs. I am only 31. I have no immediate family history of childbearing difficulties. My doc confirms every other month to see if Clomid is working and if I am truly ovulating via bloodwork, and the results state that all is good. The other theory could be hidden scarring. I am trying my hardest to maintain my optimism and faith. Some days I am better, others awful. Please keep me in your prayers this weekend for a successful pregnancy. After this 5th try, I am sure my doctor will give me a sixth dosage, then we are back to the drawing board. Please help me with your continued support. Peace to each of us....Aloha (love) and Mahalo (thanks), Alma in TX

Alma,

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a successful

conception this weekend/Monday. I know it is difficult to remain

optimistic, but by all means please keep trying. I know several

women such as yourself that were on Clomid for approx. 1 year and

finally conceived after all that time. Their tests came back normal,

and they were ovulating with the help of the Clomid. I just don't

want you to give up hope because that's all we have.

Take care and try to remember that we will all be sending positive

vibes to you and your DH.

Alma,

I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers this weekend, and

afterward. I know how hard it is to be positive and how much energy

it takes to stay hopeful. Maybe you can leave that to us! We are

all hopeful and optimistic for you! You should look back over the

last year and a half and see what a strong, courageous woman you have

been.

Best wishes to you and your husband.

Haley K.
