- Dr Gallinat - Hormone Specialist

I have just returned from seeing Dr Gallinat. To recap on my history, my

consultant recently told me that he could see adhesions going into my cavity

and wanted to divide them under a hysteroscopy and insert a Foley Catheter

into my uterus. He said that I had Ashermans. I joined your group and

Corrina advised me to see Dr Gallinat which I did.

Dr Gallinat performed a hysteroscopy and said that my uterus is in very good

condition with plenty of lining. There was a small adhesion which he

removed but this was insignificant. I do not have Ashermans which I am of

course delighted to discover. My consultant was therefore totally wrong and

really mislead me.

However, it is a fact that since the birth of my second child, my period has

significantly reduced and for some reason, the lining that does exist is not

coming away each month properly. Dr Gallinat feels that this can be

corrected with the correct hormone treatment. I would therefore be grateful

if anyone can recommend to me a good hormone specialist in the UK as I do

not want to go back to my existing consultant.

I would like to add that Corrina was fantastically helpful and I cannot

thank her enough for the help she gave me. I was very nervous about going

to Germany and she met with me on the first day and explained how the clinic

works and showed me a video of it. I will always be grateful to her for the

time she gave up to help me and even though I do not have Ashermans, I am

glad that Dr Gallinat did my hysteroscopy, as if my consultant did it, I

feel that he could have made things worse for me.

I hope someone can recommend a good hormone specialist as I am anxious to

get the process moving as quickly as possible.
