I can't see a war in the horizon either, but then I'm not sure I can see anything but serious quakes, and I do think nobody is in control. The present situation cannot prevail for long, though.

Wuthnow is a conservative believer. But the statistical material is interesting. (The U.S. does not have a religion census; Canada does. Does Denmark?) A few of interpretations are interesting. The section on 'telling stories' is ok. Most of his interpretation, though, is weak. It is the raw data that is important.
