Guest guest
Hi I am experiencing the same monthly pain, even urinating is extremely painful. I dread having to use the bathroom at all. I wish I could answer your questions if this is a sign of endometrosis. I have an appointment next week and will voice my concerns to my doctor. > ?'s: > During my " period " I get horrible pain on my left side for about 3 days. > During this time I also have trouble with painful bowel movements (sorry but > I need to ask!). Guest guest
Audrey, Try to see a urologist. There should be ots of good ones in your area! Were you tested for urinary tract infection? Guest guest
Hi It is not a urinary tract infection. As described it is extremely painful when moving bowels or urinating for the first couple of days of my cycle. It does not happen any other time except when the period is scheduled. The doctors have told me it is because the blood can not come through the cervix, there is no release. It is back washed towards the tubes which can lead to endometrosis. I have also learned from this group and Dr. Palter that it is a good signed (excluding the pain) that there is some shedding going on. Thank you for your help. I am glad that things are going well with you and the baby. I will be awaiting more good news from you on friday? Guest guest
B, I wonder if you do have endometriosis which has over a period of time made your bowel stick to your other organs and this is causing you the pain that you are having.? I have NO clue! This is an interesting thought. Would an ultrasound show endometriosis? §§§§LISA§§§§ §§§§ http://www.ashermans.freeservers.com/
Guest guest
Good question This is how my AS was first diagnosed. I had terrible pain associated with bowel movements even gas movements and difficulty with mirctuition, but I had no period, just the pain. Originally I was told it was endometriosis, but since I know its due to the cervicl stenosis. Does anyone else know why some of us get this pain Does anyone have remedies to combat it? Thanlks Deb
Guest guest
Unless you have large pieces of endometrium outside your uterine cavity, they wont be picked up on ultrasound. Deb K
Guest guest
Dear all with this cyclical pain I have posted earlier, sorry I am not at the chat room, but I am sleeping during that time!!!(lucky me!) What I dont understand about this cyclical pain we are all getting, is that it is severe, we get it when we should get our periods, BUT I had an ultrasound during this pain and I had NO LINING and therefore NO BLOOD to go the wrong way into my tubes. I am sure most of us (unfortunately) have this little if no lining. I guess it depends how thick our endometrium is, but it still makes no sense to me!! Any Thoughts? Guest guest
Deb K Wow, that's interesting they said you had little lining, because when I experienced that kind of pain, my RE said it was probably due to lining pooling at my cervix unable to get out. I began with a mild case of AS (before post AS preg) and had this pain. Then, after one hyst, I had pain again, but as I was waiting for more surgery, it lessened. It turned out at the second hyst/lap that my entire uterus was obliterated with " extremely dense " scar tissue. (I have no idea what my lining looked like). I read on a post from Poly to Marla once that we do not believe that adhesions multiply, so I am not sure why I would go from a mild to a severe case. Once I found out my case was severe, I assumed the pain was lessening as the scar tissue was gradually taking over my uterus, but this sounds wrong now. I am praying tomorrow for a good SHG (hopefully back to a mild case post AS preg), and hope that my period is an indication of that!!! _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
Guest guest
, When reading your post about you not knowing why you would go from a mild to severe case of Ashermans, the first thing that crossed my mind was I wonder if your last doctor caused more damage to your uterus because of his inexperience in treating ashermans?? I know this is what happened to me so that is why the thought came to me. Let us know how it goes for you tomorrow at your SHG. Poly
Guest guest
I'm also very curious to know why some get pain and some of us don't. There must be some kind of connection. I will ask Dr. I on Tuesday is he knows anything about this. §§§§LISA§§§§ §§§§ http://www.ashermans.freeservers.com/
Guest guest
I also must add that I did not have severe pain at first. After three rounds of hormones to try to bring on my period each month became worse. I wondered if my lining was getting thicker due to the premarin/estrogen and therefore, giving me more pain from more shedding. §§§§LISA§§§§ §§§§ http://www.ashermans.freeservers.com/
