Guest guest
everything else is PLS, so it seems. ...So it seems. We're all walking (?) around thinking we have this PLS thing, and for all we know, or should I say for all the doctors know, it's some other debilitating thing. Guest guest
Connie, I do not think PLS was diagnosed from the lumbar puncture, beings the test was done several months before the announcement was made. My understanding was they were looking for or eliminating other problems. I was told they were looking for lyme disease and MS. Beings these tests were negative and the fluid was clear, it could have changed their thinking towards PLS. It seems tests are for the diagnoses of other diseases and if not positive results or answers, everything else is PLS, so it seems. Guest guest
You are so right . There is a rare form of MS, PPMS, that will only show up (but not all the time I was told) in a lumbar puncture. When everything else rejects us, PLS/HSP will take us in ;-). dale Re: Spinal Fluid/fromConnie > > In a message dated 11/29/2003 8:28:41 PM Eastern Standard Time, > gary.norton@... writes: > I was finally diagnosed with PLS in November '02. > , I'm going to ask, even though I already know the answer. Guest guest
Connie, I agree and sometimes I think they are trying to cover up the real problems. My PLS, as they label it, came on real fast. Last Christmas, my daughter was home from Durango, CO. and I had to take a business trip to Denver in Feb. My daughter came to see me from Durango and she said, " Dad, you are a lot worse now than at Christmas " . I really did not think much about the remark because it was cold and snowing, a lot different weather than where I live in Dallas. I agree with Dale, I think the weather plays on this disease also. Thank Connie and have a great evening. Norton Re: Spinal Fluid/fromConnie everything else is PLS, so it seems. ...So it seems.
