Guest guest Posted October 1, 2002 Report Share Posted October 1, 2002 My thoughts and prayers are with you hon - be well - deb in NE GI problems Hi Everyone, I know you remember me posting about my pt and ptt times being elevated .. The internist, bariatric surgeon and GI doctor all agreed that I was vitamin K deficient. I was prescribed an oral vitamin k supplement to take for 60 days by the surgeon, and three weeks of IM Vitamin K by the GI doctor. I had my levels rechecked after the last injection.. and they are still elevated.. slightly more elevated than before. The GI doctor/s nurse called today and told me that I had to set up an office appt to be thorougly checked.. and that they want to do further liver studies.. I am not sure if they mean liver function tests, liver biopsies, etc.. I go to the GI doctor on Oct 10.. and will know more after the visit..
