My favourite search engine is www.google.com. I've downloaded their toolbar

and it makes it really quick to find out if you've found a good site because

you can highlight your search terms in the document you found.

Kim,

I just use the search engines that are the default ones in Internet Explorer. I think the real gift comes in knowing how to phrase the words for which you are searching.

For instance, you want to be specific enough so that you don't get lots of non-topical hits, but vague enough so that it will be sure to return enough hits for you.

An example would be the sizing thing. . . . when I searched for that, it took me a couple of tries before I came up with what I wanted. When I did, I just clicked through the hits until I found what I was looking for. Then I remembered that often, clothing websites, like hard copy catalogs, will often include size charts on their pages.

When I'm looking for recipes, that's easy. I always put the word "recipe" in the search string, along with whatever I'm looking for as well. Like this . . . garlic shrimp recipe . . . and that generally turns up enough hits so that I can browse through and pick the one that looks the best.

Hope this helps.
