Guest guest
Hi all, I'm new to the group. I weigh about 210 and had been down to 150-55 on Atkins a few years ago. You all know the story and how easy weight is gained on a carb laden diet. I am 46. Anyone else out there " older " like me? I have fond memories of being on low carb before. I knew I'd found eating sanity at last. I hope to be able to help others as well as get help. Already some of the reading I'm doing is getting me in the mood. What I think I want is a relatively slow weight loss, because I don't really like to see people who have lost weight too fast. I work with a guy who suddenly, within the last year, seemed to drop 40 lbs. I want it to be a 3 year thing, where I can get used to myself and others will barely realize what's happening. I hope to develop many friendships here. Sincerely, Olson _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

Guest guest
Hi , welcome to the list!! You will find all the support you need here (and more). We are all here for one reason, and we enjoy everything you can tell us. I'm "older",50 and I've been on this WOE for 2 years tomorrow! It's been tough, slow going, but I found that I have to stay below 21 carbs or I maintain. I have also found MANY food intolerances, including soy, MSG, and other spices. I have recently also been started on thyroid meds and as yet haven't really seen any difference, but starting at a low dose for 3 months may be a clue. After 3 months , my doc will re-evaluate my TSH and up the dosage if necesary. So, sit back, join in and tell us all about your journey.
