I'm a little confused, though. Is the article about the use(or not) of alternatives, or just that someone has deemed the word is misleading? That maybe there is an alternative word to " alternative " ? I do have a question or two about the following excerpt: Previous studies have shown that patients who choose unconventional care are well-educated, higher-income, usually white and often chronically ill. " Previous studies have shown " etc.............does this indicate that new studies show something else, like maybe dumb, poor, other-than-white, not necessarily chronically ill, people are now seeking unconventional, alternative care? Am I just nitpicking? Be well, > >---------------------------
Guest guest
Hi Mark, For what its worth...Yes I agree with most of it. After all you need to be semi intelligent to figure out what to take and if you go to an alternative doc you need to find a good one. I also think these same intelligent people are tired of begging a main stream doc for meds that are needed. Also tired of getting ripped off at the prices for prescriptions. As in my case long before dx'ed with RA I knew I had systemic yeast so I went to an alternative doc because I knew my primary care would scoff at me..which he did till I got relief from my constant ear aches. Now I'm waiting to see his reaction when I am in remission. Its not that I didn't trust him...I just couldn't get him to listen to reason. cooky " HOLMES, MARK T. " wrote: > > From: MHOLMES@... Know what, though? I'm not so sure that what I get from them is any cheaper than the prescription drugs from the pharmacy! And, their hourly rate is nothing to sneeze at, either! But, what the hell, I don't smoke or drink or rock and roll - gotta spend my money on something! Be well, > > " HOLMES, MARK T. " wrote: >> >> From: MHOLMES@...
