You know this is sad what if it really happened....but you know...you would

think that they would call an ambulance..but having been an EMT myself and

seeing incidences that this really happened someone that panics doesn't

always think about these things and they just reach the first person they

feel can help....so this scenerio could be a true blue case sometimes...blue

means non breathing no heart rate...dead....It is scary I would be afriad

not too respond but at the same time be afraid too..darn if you darn if you

don't....perhaps if this happens the best thing for you to do is not ignore

it but drag a few people along with you...if it is false and they are out to

get you then they will disappear as fast as they can if it is true...two or

three more people to help would be great..Especially young

gentlemen......(and don't forget these things don't only happen to women...I

have seen men raped and killed and torchered too..well didn't see it happen

just the after fact).....one to send for the ambulance one to instruct if

they don't know how to do CPR....This way you can be assured that you are

not liable for a law suit that can happen to you if you don't help in no

form at all...that is if you have medical liscense of any sort...if you

don't then you can't be liable but with your own guilty conscience if

someone died...but beware if you have been an EMT or are or any medical

profession that deals with this sort of thing...but if you don't feel safe

doing that then offer to call an ambulance....works great and you feel good

with what you have done and you stay safe at the same time....I just thought

that I just couldn't ignore such a thing in case it was true...so I thought

I would pass the idea along....It is sad that this world has come to

this..that it is hard to trust anyone out there.....

Recently on Inside Edition there was an article about several new scams

to

abduct women.

In one, a man comes up to a woman in a Mall or Shopping Center and

asks if she likes Pizza. When she says she does, he offers her $100.00

to

shoot a commercial for Pizza, but they need to go outside where the

lighting

is better. When the woman goes out of the mall she is abducted and

assaulted.

Another ploy is a very nicely dressed man asks a woman if she would

be in a Public Service announcement to discourage drug use. The man

explains

that they don't want professional actors or celebrities they want the

average

mother to do this. Once she leaves the mall she is a victim.

The third ploy, and the most successful, a very frantic man comes

running in and asks a woman to please help him, his baby is not

breathing.

She runs out of the mall following him and also becomes a

victim. These have been happening in well lit parking areas, in

daylight as

well as night time, all over the country. The abductor usually uses a

van to

abduct the woman.

'Inside Edition' set up a test in a Mall and 10 out of 15 women went out

of

the Mall on the Pizza and the PSA scam. And all of them went out of the

Mall

on baby scam.

Please pass this along to your friends and family as now that it has

been

shown on nationwide TV there are bound to be copy cats of this.

The third one, I think, is the scariest. You might resist pizza or

becoming a commercial celebrity...but who would be able to resist a

frantic

father asking for help for his child? I'm sure that one would get me.

I was going to send this to the ladies only, but guys, if you love

your mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, etc., you may want to pass it

on to

them, as well.

Send this to any woman you know that may need to be reminded that the

world

we live in has a lot of crazies in it...better safe than sorry........

A woman was shopping at the Tuttle Mall in Columbus. She came out to

her car and saw she had a flat. She got her jack, spare out of the

trunk.

A man in a business suit came up and started to help her. When the tire

had

been replaced, he asked for a ride to his car on the opposite side of

the

Mall. Feeling uncomfortable about doing this, she stalled for a while,

but he

kept pressing her. She finally asked why he was on this side of the Mall

if

his car was on the other. He claimed he had been talking to friends.

Still

uncomfortable, she told him that she had just remembered something she

had

forgotten to pick up at the mall and she left him and went back inside

the

mall. She reported the incident to the mall security and they went out

to her

car. The man was nowhere in sight. Opening her trunk, she discovered a

brief

case the man had set inside her trunk while helping her with the tire.

Inside were rope and a butcher knife. And, when she took the tire to

be fixed, the mechanic informed her that there was nothing wrong with

her

tire, that it was flat because the air had been let out of it.

PLEASE BE SAFE AND NOT SORRY! JUST A WARNING TO ALWAYS BE ALERT AND USE

YOUR

HEAD!!!

Thanks from me too!! Forwarded it to my mom and sister and other close

friends that would for sure act on the baby thing. I know I would of

had I not read this.

So thanks for me too.

Great advice Kay, thanks for sharing, we do live in a crazy world, as we can

tell from the newspapers we read every day. Usually these reminders come

around at Christmas time, but crime like this happens all year long

unfortunately. Makes me glad I hardly go out unless my husband is driving.

Lyme comes in handy sometimes....LOL!

Ladies,

Every one of the incidents listed in this email

are what are known as " urban legends " -- may have

happened *once* -- but through the retelling and

retelling (and now the vector system of the

internet) they have been vastly blown out of

proportion.

If you will go to the urban legend research site

http://snopes.simplenet.com/horrors/horrors.htm#horrors

you will see every one of these tales listed. Just

click on the bullet item marked " Murdering Madmen "

I used to be guilty of passing these things on

myself until I started reading this site. Some of

these stories have been around for 20 or more

years.

I have enough problems with tiny disease-ridden

parasites to worry about guys with axes.

Hi

I often check the urban legend site myself when these stories come

through, but I figured this one could and probably does happen when we let

our guard down and is useful information whether it is a hoax or not.

Just recently a poor woman in the Philadelphia area went to the store for

ice cream at 8PM at night, she was found strangled to death behind the

store. She leaves a husband and two children. We'll never know how she was

lured there, unless the perpetrator is caught and confesses. It is scary

out there.

Marta, I heard about that on the news. Sad that she had a husband and

children and her life had to end. People esp women can never be too

carefully. When I went away to college my mother bought me a cell phone,

pepper spray for my purse, a horn keychange, ang when she dropped me off and

called me that night she told me that she left a thing of peper spray under

the bed. It may sound alittle extreme, but I felt safer with these things.

Anita,

Oh I no how you feel....my mom was out watching my three children when I was

in bed trying to relax....next thing I know my Mom comes in screaming saying

my little was missing...she was 20 months at the time...I thought for

sure someone nabbed her...I never felt so lost in my life and so much

panic...I ran up and down the street. I know about that adrenalin...Finally,

we found her she had gotten in the neighbors back yard somehow which is

fenced..how she did it I will never know...but my heart skipped a beat

because right in his back yard he has a built in swimming pool..I know God

was watching over my little girl...I can't imagine how those parents survive

that have their kids abducted...I felt the panic for 20 minutes they feel it

for years and may never know....I pray for all those missing children...

Well I just had the scare of my life.

My five year old son was playing with the neighbor's grandson in their

backyard when the kids disappeared. Me and the other boy's grandpa were

driving around, my 9 year old was crying and riding around on his bike

looking for them along with two of his friends and some neighbors. It was

just awful. I called 911. Right before the police showed up my older son's

friends found them near the lake!! Which is NOT close to home! It sounds

like 's ( is my lil guy) friend instigated the whole thing but

I told him I don't care who's fault it was!! I made both boys sit down and

talk with the officer when he got here. Then I called hubby..he came rushing

home.....boy...this has been a lovely day!

Gawd....I think I just experienced the most frightening thing of my

life....I just cant imagine what I would do had the outcome been any

different.

Funny tho, I've been sicker than a dog the last few weeks, but when it comes

to my babies, I was out running down the streets looking for him. Talk

about an adrenalin rush.....

I have to go rest now for some reason....LOL.....

take care,

Dabs I am afraid to walk at night/early morning because the township I live

in has gone to hell. An 11 year old boy was murdered a couple blocks away

from my house!!! And if that isn't bad enough a girl was arrested for

possession and possession with intent plus selling drugs in a school zone.

She lived not even a block away from me. See why I always carry my knife?? If

this doesn't go into the category of FUBAR i don't know what does.

As sad as it is that is true. These monsters are getting younger every

day and it terrifies me to let my kids out of my sight. I just cant

believe the world we live in these days. Back when I was a kid the

worst thing anybody did was TP a house.

>>>I used to be guilty of passing these things on

hi jean,

sometimes these " sites " about urban legends etc. are actually not correct.

i have seen news reports on this particular issue.

lyme disease or not, i think it is always a good idea to be aware of who is

around you and what they are doing.

is it also an " urban legend " that men will ask little kids to help him " find

his puppy " ?

or is it a legend that men will lure kids with the promise of a new bike?

here in boston about 18 months ago, a 10 year old boy, jeffrey curley, was

talked into getting into a car " for a new bike " (the assholes had stolen his

to make him extra vulnerable.).

they smothered him with a gas filled rag and sodomized his dead body, put

him in a rubbermaid box, filled it with cement and threw it off a bridge in

maine.

the mall abduction post is not about an " urban legend " , i saw a news show

that showed video tape from a mall of a woman being led out of the mall.

also, they (the producers of the show) set up a " situation " to see how easy

it was to get people to go out to their van with them. i can't remember any

that wouldn't go, but it was a quite a long while ago, and my brain is not

what it once was.

better " guilty " of passing an evil " urban legend " than to be guilty for

ignoring something that might educate someone to help keep them safer.

hope,

kay

Hi Anita,

What a scare, you are probably going to pay for all that stress of

yesterday with exacerbated symptoms today. Kids sure can wander, I remember

doing it myself as a young un, my poor Mother. Once I lost my son at the

Philadelphia zoo, in the Reptile House, that was frightening, it was only a

few minutes, but seemed like hours. You can't take your eyes off them for a

nanosecond. I hope both boys learned their lesson, and you are right, it

sure could have turned out much worse. Thank the Lord they are both safe.

Hugs,

Marta

Hi ,

I bet you are referring to the Manzi case right? Wow, did you know him?

For those not aware, Manzi was a teen who was greatly troubled, his parents

tried to have him put away for psychiatric help but the Judge thought they

were just trying to get rid of him, he killed an 11 year old boy who was

selling candy or some other item for the school district.

Poor , not only does he live in a highly tick infested area, he also

has to watch out for stray tigers in his town. There is a woman who has a

collection of them, called the Cat Lady.

, I am almost afraid to ask what does FUBAR stand for???

Hugs,

Hi ,

I am going to show my age by finally asking you.........Wat does FUBAR mean

???? (lol)

I am very sorry to hear you feel unsafe in your neighborhood.I am also sad to

learn that you feel you must carry a knife to protect yourself.

Things are really out of control when you dont feel safe walking down the

street !!!!

I would be very interested in hearing more about the dangers etc you face as

a normal kid trying to survive. E mail me privately any time, okay?? I'd

really like that. Dabs conn
