Hi All!

Wow! I just realized I stared having these cardiac symptoms 2

days after receiving my flu and pneumonia vaccines at the local

grocery. I have been encouraged to get the flu vaccine every year, and

have never had a problem. However, this year my internist had signs in

the office that it was no longer cost effective for them to give the

injections, as they would actually lose money, therefore they were

encouraging patients to obtain them elsewhere.

I do know that the flu vaccine is a dead virus, however the new

nasal vaccine that is inhaled is a live flu vaccine, according to what

I have recently read. I do not know about the pneumonia one though. I

got the flu one for free on Medicare, and I went ahead and took the

pneumonia one for the first time. I did not seem to have any problems

from them, however......after reading all these posts, I just realized

that it was 2 days before this heart stuff started.

I saw my internist today, and he drew a lot of lab work, to

help figure out why I suddenly have these pauses in my pulse with

palpitations. I dropped off the holter monitor at the cardiologist's

office, and my cardiologist is back in town, but it will be a couple

days before the holter monitor is read. I am hoping to hear from the

docs later in the week.

I still have these palpitations at least 75 to 100 times a

day.......something is causing them.........I just hope I am not

facing more steroids.......Will let you know more, when I actually do!

Have a good week!

Hugs,
