Congratulations Jen,

I bet being out one year is a surreal feeling

or it would be for me. I have often thought about how I was a year ago and can

hardly believe it. I am so happy for you being so close to goal. I am sure you

will make it soon. Congratulations sweet angel of mine. Huggles, SUE

One year re-birthday!! :0)

Hi all!

Today is my 1 year re-birthday!! I have devoted my entire day to myself,

since my husband has been at work all day and my daughter is up at my mom's

until after her friend's birthday party this evening (a pizza party, so I'm

glad I'm not going!). I browsed the shopping mall and got by with only

spending $50 (of a $125 gift certificate), I took a nap in the sun out in my

backyard, gave myself a facial, and have been reading up a storm! A

little while later, I'm going to work on clearing out some of my soon-to-be

melon & pumpkin garden, take a yoga class and then relax in the hot tub and

sauna at my gym. Depending on where I am when my hubby gets home from

work, we may go out for an early dinner. It's been a beautiful day, and

it's only going to get better!

I have been a little frustrated with my weight-loss lately, because I've been

on a plateau for about 2 months and I've only got 25 pounds left to go until I

get to my goal weight of 135!! However, I've lost 103 pounds and I weigh

less than I did when I graduated high school 15 years ago!! I have energy

and I want to do things with my time rather than sit around on my butt!!

I'm training to become a certified fitness trainer, and my goal is to

work with WLS patients, since I know how many of us there are out there who

just have such a difficult time getting and staying motivated with the

exercise! The training is going a little bit slower than I expected, but

I've been extremely busy the past month since we moved on very short notice!

Anyway, I don't want to make this a long post, so I won't! :-)

Hugs,

Jen

Thanks Sue! I am a completely different person than I was 1 year ago. And

it's not just my weight either! I've never claimed to be a religious person,

but I am definitely a lot more comfortable with my place in the universe,

and I didn't even know it was happening! A friend of mine was telling me

his take on what I had to do spiritually in order to prepare myself for this

surgery and I was blown away! Not only had he nailed it on the head, but

I hadn't even realized that I'd done it until he pointed it out to me! This

surgery has definitely been the best thing that I've ever done for myself

in so many ways, and they're just growing everyday!!

Hugs,

Jen

Hi Jen,

Happy re-birthday! Sounds like you gave yourself a wonderful day.

You have done wonderfully - and will continue to do so, I am sure.

All the best,

Kay
