Guest guest
unless I take a rope to lasso him with, probably won't keep him there long enough to talk about this. Rose, that's bullshit. Take someone with you to do the lasso-ing, and make this man answer your questions. I don't care how busy he is-- you're paying big bucks for him to do the injections, and you have this time reserved--FOR YOU. Don't let him out of the room until your questions are answered. Hugs, Tracie--who hates it when the MD's are too frickin fast to take care of us.
Guest guest
So ture. Marla checking in Hi, everyone. I don't know if I'm having a flare; never had one as far as I know, so I don't know what to look for. The past few days, I have been much more exhausted than usual, legs more weak & tending to give way, arms more weak. I will see my neuro tomorrow for the epidural steroid injection, but unless I take a rope to lasso him with, probably won't keep him there long enough to talk about this. I'm going to ask him to call me at least, so I can talk about trying Trental. Have any of you taken it? Dr. Stern mentioned it for the fatigue. I just got an email with a nice little saying that I hadn't heard before, so wanted to share it with you. No author given. Guest guest
>>I do have a question for you or any of you i'm starting to get some involuntary movements of my body kinda like its my nerves Jan you might want to get them to do an EEG or BSER or other evoked potentials, or talk to them about forms of myoclonus and ask if it's possible that this could be some sort of nerve spasm from either your neck or the illness. Perhaps Klonapin, the first drug used with myoclonus, would help? Love Aisha
Guest guest
>>How are you my dear one? Have you started those new TB meds yet? Hey Jan, I'm pretty sick right now. Not desperately sick or any of that, just not at my best. My last lot of blood tests were rather warped due to one lot clotting so that threw a lot of tests out of wack. I get it redone End of October. Because of this also, we didnt start the TB stuff. To be honest, I don't know where I am medically. >>I hope you are getting better and how is Moo? Crystal is extremely sick, she is basically how I was when I had no specialist and was slowly dying. She cannot cope with email, so even sending an e-card wont help I'm afraid. If anyone wants to post her a card of support, I have her postal address, just write to me of the list (aisha@...). Thanks for asking after me, I hope things are steadily getting better for you? Love isha.
Guest guest
---You are perhaps in the very hardest stage of this process. Approved and waiting for a date. It took me almost a year too. The being approved and waiting is extremely difficult. I went through extreme mood swings from extremely happy to extrememly depressed. I would cry at the drop of a hat, truly believing it would never happen. Everyone would be very supportive and encouraging, but it didnt help, I was obessed with getting my date and I too would cry hearing some one get their date quickly. But everyone was right it did come and its been great so far. Ive had little dips and valleys but thankfully no complications. I hit a plateau at 4 weeks and felt like a failure...thank goodness for Eleanor....she really helped me through it. The only thing I can tell you is that it will come. I know it wont help much. Rely on all the support you can, this site is awesome because we are all Kaiser patients. Another good one is the Association for Morbid Obesity Support...I lived on that site and the live chat there really kept me going. You are worth this wonderful tool and when it comes you will be ready. Guest guest
Good Afternoon all, per the request of our leader I'd just like to say Hi again! I have done the Marathon appointments and I am scheduled for Surgery 1 week from today! January 21st! What a way to start off the new year! Thank you to everyone for your postings and your responses to the occasional post from me with questions. I think I have learned more reading all of your stories then any study or research on this topic. There is nothing like Human Emotion and Triumph I think! It hasn't really hit me all that I am in for yet, but I feel a little more excitement as each day passes, I will be blessed to have my father there during the surgery and my mother there during the recovery! I'm sad my husband won't be able to join me he is in College right now study to be a stenographer and is in a portion of that study that is the most intense! We are both in agreement he can't take the time off but is having trouble dealing with the decision as time continues to count down. Well if anyone has suggestions as to what to bring to the hospital and any post surgery suggestions for a great recovery please pass them along. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how the follow-up appointments go? Do we go to the Seminar's to meet with our Dr's for our follow-up or fly back to PB? Well Thank you for listening to me go on and on! See you on the other side!! Guest guest
: The follow up appointments are not at PB but at the place where the seminars are held. I don't know what area you are from. I'm in the Sac area and my month appointment was at the Red Lion Inn and then my 6 month appointment this last Monday was at Kaiser Pt West in Sac. in Vacaville -----Original Message-----From: Sent: Wednesday, January 14, 2004 10:05 AMTo: gastric-bypass-support-kaiser-patients Subject: Re: Checking In Good Afternoon all, per the request of our leader I'd just like to say Hi again!
