, I think a few people responded, but what I have found since then is

that a possible effect of neurotransmitters can be fibro symptoms....well,

it seems this is also a factor in ADD...so, could fibro-fog be alot like the

blankness of mind I was attributing to ADD??..just mulling the possibilities

over...when I was first diagnosed with ADD, it took me a couple years to

tie my history together with the symptoms, and have small

" revelations " ...oh, that's why....etc.I am now doing that with FMS, and I am

surprising myself about how far back I must have had FMS. I would like to

hear your thoughts ....

  • 30 years later...

interesting i too got dx'd with the ADD before the FMS. and the more

that I learn about each of them the more i think they are connected. not

that one causes the other, except for maybe that hyperactive part that

only lets me sleep for a few hours.

i'm reading a book for a class- ADD and the Addictive brain and they are

talking about seratonin and dopamines and all that stuff and how it

affects pain. Mind you this is a book on ADD. then i go to the workshop

and these docs from major hospitals are talking about seratonin and

dopamines and stuff. but then seratonin levels also affect depression,

so the bottom line seems to be that if you seratonin level and stuff is

out of whack you can have a number of different problems.

Somedays, i feel that the FMS is a part of the ADD, it's like i have

hyperactive pain, and hyperactive bowels, and hyperactive blood

pressure...
