Can anyone tell me how I go about getting a tummy tuck through

Kaiser. When I originaly went through the WLS orientation they

said it was covered after a certain period of time after the surgery

but didn't tell me how to approach it. Have any of you had a TT

through Kaiser??? I have a bunch of loose skin and my boobs

are now socks, they need to be lifted. It is also affecting my back

as 3 lower disks were hernieated in Nov 02 when I was Tboned.

Any suggestions or info would be extremely appriciated.

My girlfriend, who has not had WLS is have a breast reduction because of back problems. Before I considered WLS, inspired by my friend I talked to my OB/GYN about BR and she said she'd be happy to recommend and refer me, but I'd have to be closer to goal weight. Try talking to either your PCP or OB/GYN for the referral.dingleberry352000 wrote:

Have your PCP document the problems associated with the hanging skin

and ask to be referred to Dr. Wang in Oakland. No guarantee you will

get the surgery but it doesn't hurt to ask. By the way, Kaiser will

only perform the panniculectomy, not an abdominoplasty if you get

approved. This would involve the removal of the skin below the belly

button and would not include any tightening of muscles or connective

tissue under the skin. It is not the optimum procedure but if you

can at least get some of it covered by Kaiser, it is worth the shot.
