Guest guest
Hi Inga, I pop into that sight from time to time but right now I just don't have the energy to absorb all the complexity of info about the endocrine system. I know it's a problem of mine but I am so researched out.. Regarding Dr. Rind..he charges alot $300+ for first visit + $150+ for subsequent visits. Yes, he told me I have a severe adrenal problem and probably an excess of estrogen. He sent me a script for a thyroid test and then laughed at the results because he said they tested the wrong thing. Well he could have been more clear about what he was looking for...would have saved me time and money. Here's the thing that bugs me about him..he KNEW I was being treated for mercury toxicity yet his treatment plan did not incorporate this huge factor at all. Plus and this is very dangerous he has developed this supplement he calls Basic Cell Energy and guess what it contains? 60 mg of Lipoic Acid!!!! He told me this would *really* help me!!! Advised me to take it 3 times a day!!! That would be 180 mg of ALA to a mercury toxic person. I took one or two of them and had a negative reaction so I didn't take it any more. He told me start at a lower dosage and build up. I didn't. He is a nice man but dangerous if he's randomly prescribing large doses of ALA to patients. Regarding the crumbs, any doctor worth his weight would incorporate the whole body in a treatment plan. For example, digestive issues need to be addressed, the metals need to be addressed and how all this effects the hormones and endocrine system. Just concentrating on the endo system w/o regard to what's *causing* them to be out of whack is very allopathic in my opinion. Also, blindly throwing a ton of supplements at a person (which he did) w/o considering that there is most likely a malabsorbtion issue is incompetent. He did give me a printout of how to treat the adrenals (i could have gotten it off the web for free.) I don't know, after a couple of months of no improvement I stopped everything he gave me. Can't really recommned the guy. val > I hope you are getting some help at the Natural Thyroid Forum...I have not > been there lately. > When your adrenals are too stressed, the thyroid will likely just make them > worse. > I found out the hard way. > > but I am a little baffled that Rind did not want to > treat you for endocrine problems.
