Guest guest
Tracie, I " celebrated " 17 years clean and sober May 21. I was getting ready to renegotiate my commitment to my self having decided this disease invalidated everything of the last 17 years. But I guess I will go back to the old one day at a time. I haven't been to a meeting or talked much with anyone about being clean in the last 15 years or so but I must say listening to you reminds me how awfully slippery a downward slope it can be. Be very very careful. I have had surgery a couple times in the last 17 years and pain meds were a must but I made sure people around me knew what was up and I was honest with myself. It's quick sand- make sure you have back up! When I left my doctor's office with my prednisone prescription I asked if there was anything I should watch out for and he said " don't drink " it made me laugh. I wanted to ask if heroin would be ok...... Take care, Bobbie
