Guest guest
Don't worry, Jena -- I had buyers remorse for 3-1/2 months -- no kidding! I had complications and ended up in the hospital (Scripps Mercy) down in San Diego (I live in Northern California) alone for 5 weeks. Then when I came home I was miserable for another two months. I used to cry at support group meetings, when people would give their glowing reports, because I was so discouraged. But then, at 3-1/2 months, I was able to go to a potluck and eat a little bit of just about everything, chew really well, and be satisfied. I started thinking that maybe I *could* live this way for the rest of my life, and be okay with it. And since then things have gotten a lot better. You are still *really* early out. There is a condition called "hibernation syndrome" that happens to many in the first few weeks/month after surgery. Sounds like you're right in the middle of it. And it does pass! By the way, I've had sutures out on various occasions and sometimes it does hurt -- but sometimes not. Your wound is still tender and even the pulling will sting a little. It's not unbearable, though. Happy holidays to you! Laurie W. 2 Weeks Post-Op Also I am also 2 weeks post-op, still questioning my decision for surgery. I know i'll be happy about it soon, just having a little buyers remorse. Mainly cuz of what has posted, the morning nauseau and feeling tired all the time. Other than that, I am keeping food down fine. Eating home-made chicken soup. The puddings, and applesauce and all that, never seemed to ease the nauseau like the soup does. Anyways, just wanted to update on how my journey was going. Also, I get my stitches out Wednesday, I have never had stitches removed, does it hurt?? :)ThanksJenaDr. Fisher12/8/03357/300/

Guest guest
If you go to this site http://www.obesitysurgerysupport.org/ and click on " Hibernation Syndrome " , they've got a good description of what it is. It's an excellent site, and I got a lot of great info from there when I was researching. Hugs & happy holidays, Jen Shell wrote: > Laurie, > What is " hibernation syndrome " ? Guest guest
I think you did, too, Shell! I almost mentioned it when you were struggling the first month or so, but I was pre-op then and didn't have any idea what the heck was going on with anyone or anything, LOL. I'll copy the post I have about it, and put it here. Laurie W. 2 Weeks Post-Op Also> > > I am also 2 weeks post-op, still questioning my decision for > surgery.
