I think they may remember all of us who did not get well on Armour

despite staying with it a long time and doing significant doses.

I am another one of those. I believe the reason being is that mercury

is at the bottom of our illness, but that doesn't mean that I don't

need thyroid. Since mercury trashes the thyroid gland and endocrine

system, we need to address these areas prudently in our quest to

eventually get well. Even though I am not well after taking thyroid, I

now have regular periods for the very first time in my life. (Late

40's). Taking Armour literally gave me my periods back. When the

thyroid gland doesn't work properly, one just doesn't stand a chance of

getting well.

I also finally left the group after being active for about a year, but

I still send folks over till this day. I believe they have the best,

and most accurate information available on thyroid and how to properly

treat it. Help from doctors in the area of proper thyroid testing and

treament is poor at best.

I would encourage everybody who even suspects they may have thyroid

issues, or I would even go so far as to say everbody who is ill and/or

mercury toxic, to join naturalthyroidhormones and take

control of their own healing.

Inga,

Are you saying that even if we keep chelating for 3-4 years like Andy says,

that we won't get well unless we take thyroid hormone?

Hi Inga. The only thing Armour did for me was cause me to lose 40 lbs which was

needed at the time. Still classic hypo. Lack of energy, muscle aches(fatigue,

weakness, tightness etc), reoccuring fatigue and flue like symptoms,

sinus/allergy, intestinal, ringing in the ears etc etc. I belonged to both the

natural group as well as thyroid which was actually my

favorite. I quite the natural group as I couldn't keep up with both of them.

Janie would also post on the thyroid group on occasion. I'm still subscribed

but at no mail and haven't checked in in over a year. I did hear recently

from a gal with a severely autistic son who has tried everything under the son

(she is a part of that group). She wondered how I was doing and how (our

autistic son) was doing. I keep saying I might check in there to see how they

are all doing and bring them up to date on me. Sigh, I'm such a procastinator.

Well, at least your periods straightened out. My doctor (not

the top doc who allowed such high doses) about fell off his chair when he

found out I had NO hyper symptoms at that dose. I even thought of going up to

10 grains like Broda used to give but I didn't have the courage. I'm

not sure it would have made any difference. Carol B

No, I don't think that is what I was saying at all.

I think what I want to say is that if we have fried thyroid glands

because of mercury, then we need to treat our bodies to the thyroid

that is missing to help the body to function better while we are

chelating....that is, if the thyroid is indeed affected....which is

very common with mercury toxicity.

Another thing to consider is that once the thyroid gland has been

damaged from mercury (or whatever) the chances of it going back to

normal are not all that great from what I have read, so taking thyroid

is usually (but not always) a life time treatment.

So if you need it, you need it. Even if you chelate the heck out of

yourself, if you have yourself a messed up thyroid, it my never fully

heal, and you will not fuction at your optimum without the additional

hormone, even if most or all of the mercury has been removed from your

body/brain.

Did that make sense, ? I know you have had issues regarding

taking thyroid....

;-)

Thanks Inga,

I have been thinking lately that my hashimoto's will be permanent regardless

of getting the mercury out. It would be nice if I can say differently after

about 3 more years of chelation.
