Guest guest
Hi Everybody! Hope this finds you weller. My hubby just sent me this article he found online re: NS. (Sweet of him to still be searching for me.) I know Aisha posts Medline articles often. I just wondered what you guys thought of this article. As I read it, I am once again overwhelmed by how my symptoms fit, even though I have no diagnosis yet. I also noticed that it lists no definitive tests for diagnosis. I certainly have nearly all the symptoms, a lot of the indicators, such as the documented neuropathy, flattened pituitary gland (anybody else have this symptom show up on their brain MRI?) and more. Dr. Baughman at UC said my lungs showed stage one sarc, but the surgeon failed to retrieve a lymph node. Dr. B. actually told me the surgeon did the wrong surgery. Anyway, all this is old news from me, but I would appreciate any input from any of you on this article. Does it seem a good one to use to educate doctors, for example? Thanks so much. Guest guest
I like the Medline article for friends & relatives. I sent it to my pastor & he found it very helpful; he said he had no idea that my illness was so serious & debilitating. So this may be better for lay people. Rose Re: Question re:Medline article http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000720.htmSandy,Yes, it's ok to give this one to the MD's. Honestly tho, the one Aisha has at her site is even better. The site is: http://www.elderwyn.com/neurosarcoidosis/There is so much info in regards to tests, MRI's MRA's, xrays, scans, it's all right there for them. You will need to tell your MD's that this is the gold standard for information and to PLEASE READ IT. Once my neuro put aside the I know best attitude and read it, he got his act together and started helping me. Guest guest
Dear Sandy, I love that Medline article. I think it is very informative and have actually got it in the NS links section at the yahoogroups page. The more info we all gather the better! Hope you're not doing *too* terribly.
