Guest guest
Colleen: I am doing great! Getting all the liquid in is a challenge, but it's coming along okay. I am using the treadmill for 10 mins 3x a day so that I won;t fall behind in my exercise program. Have you had the suregery already? I lost 20 pounds since my WLS and it seems like it is too much. Might I be doing something wrong? -
Guest guest
how are you doing post operatively ? I hope everything is going well for you Colleenvantuyl@... wrote: The hurry up and wait game is something we begin playing the minute we make the decision to have the surgery - the emphasis being on "WE". It takes a while for all the right people to come to that same conclusion - so we play that game... hurry up and get some forms filled out, visit the doc, and wait, wait, wait. I am post-op as of April 13th. and while I thought EVERYTHING was much slower than I wanted, when the week before my surgery came I thought .... "HOw come it has come so fast?" Use the time wisely: research all you can on WLS, join 1-2 support groups. Be proactive! FInd out from others what you can do to move the process along. You don't have to wait as long as we think we do somethings. FInd out the shortcuts. I feel that as I rolled into that OR on the 13th I started a new life. I am looking forward to walking down this journey. I probably should have moved quicker on making the decision, but right now, I am happy I have gotten this far. Don't be discouraged .... just move and leave it. - Colleen

Guest guest
Danny and : It is not uncommon to experience this rapid weight loss in the first stages post-op. Enjoy it and maximize it by following the guidelines as set out by your particular surgeon. Best of luck to you both! And keep us updated on your progress.
