Guest guest
Hi Jackie, 15mg is 1/4 grain and a very low dose. You are probably undermedicated. Don't expect miracles with that dose. Hopefully your doc is starting you low with small raises, for staying at too low a dose for a long time will not help you. You need small raises, and also to be sure you do not have adrenal issues before doing too many armour raises. Also with hashimotos, TSH is not that accurate. Hopefully he doesn't go just by lab testing. My doc goes by symptoms...I am very lucky for that because most docs do not do this. In fact most conventional docs and endos haven't a clew as to how to treat thyroid disease. Do you know for sure you have hashi's? Have you had antibody tests for this? There is another Yahoo list that deals with natural thyroid hormones. Most of the members are taking armour and self treat. They can really help you as they are very knowledgable. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormones/ V > He wants me to get my TSH level checked later this month. > > So, is 15mg a standard starting dose, and how does that compare to grains? And how soon did you notice it helping, or did you have to increase the dose for that to happen? Any experiences on starting Armour and how it went would be great! Thanks! > > Jackie T>
