Guest guest
Jeri, I went to Stone Mountain the first time I went to see Dr. Stern. I was really disappointed. I guess I was thinking it would be as impressive as the one with the presidents (can't think of the name). The tram ride was a bummer; packed in like sardines. Going up I was on the wrong side to see the carving; coming down I got on first so that I would be on the right side, but it was kind of a let down. Oh, well, that's life. Guest guest
Hey Rose, I haven't emailed you in a long time, so guess its your time to be picked on tonight.. huh? You talked of something in this email that is a childhood memory.. and I'd like to share a short story with you.. Nothing as elaborate as the squirrel story.. OK? When I was a teenager, you know not that many years ago...*snickers* our church group went to the Smokey Mountains...Crypus Gardens, Gatlinburg... just a get away for us....They made us stay at the Childrens Home there, i guess to show us, if we didn't behave what would happen.. LOL.. but not really, it was a good experience.. but my aunt libby.. which, I LOVE DEARLY!!!! took some of us up the one of the mountains on a tram ride.... and it was packed like sardines too.. there was this man, standing beside my aunt, and he kept saying its gonna break, we're gonna fall, we're overloaded, hear it making noises...LOL... My dear sweet aunt, that is the funniest person, I've ever met in my life.. turn not to the man, but his wife and said.. ever so quietly, " Do you want to shut him up, or do you want me too".....We all applauded aunt libby and the poor man, never said another word.. but got off that tram, with is face bright RED....LOL Hope your doing ok...How's things going up your way? Big Hugs,
Guest guest
I love it; can't compete with the squirrel story, but still good. Just the usual chaos here. I'm looking forward to escaping to "The City" this weekend for the sarc conference. When I was a kid, we lived in a little town (2,165 people) north of Indianapolis. The old folks would talk about going to The City. So I'm going to crash at 's. night, night.
