I read and read and read. I have read my entire life and I am glad that I

love reading as with FMS I can read and some time forget for a short while

the pain and the fact that I am not our doing all the things that I want to

do.

Sher, are you not the one that owns the used books store? That would be

great.

I am reading a book called " Bell " that I got in England last year. It

is a true crime about a young (11) girl that killed 2 little boys. I bought

it because she was getting out of jail when I was there and there was quite a

hullabaloo about her getting out. She was given a new name and I have the

book written after she got out and how her life is, I am going to read that

next. I guess this must have been the first of the children killing

children. No explicit details or I could not read it.

Take care.

Irene

Hi Irene,

I have heard about that one. Sounds like I would like it, could you send me

the author.

That is one thing with FM reading is great! I have never read so much in my

life and it is relaxing and enjoyable, well if I don't read too many horors.

Hi Sher,

This author bought my in-laws house in the next town from us, is it a new

book? I know his others are good, and if this is new I can get it for my mom

in law she likes his writing. He is from Texas, but has a house (my husband

grew up in it) on the river/ocean in Eliot Maine.

Where do you live? Well, maybe you said but I did not see it.

Thanks for all the great books I will look into them.

Sending Comfort and Peace

Please, please I should not know this. I am addicted to books. I have about

10,000 and I keep buying more. I had them all on my computer when there was

a problem and when they fixed the computer, they took everything off. It

took me 3 years to get them on and I still adding new ones and I cannot do it

again with this disease. I just sat down and cried.

I will keep you in mind when I am looking for things. I would rather buy

from friends. Do you carry many mysteries.

Take care,

Irene

read it a few years ago .. and i think it had been

around for a while at that point. i'll check it when

i'm over at the store on tuesday.

Hi Irene :)

I admit that I gave up on the idea of keeping any kind

of inventory in the store quite a while back. I

couldn't handle it and BL doesn't want to bother. If

someone asks for a book, we look for it. That simple.

:) I sure hope you'll give up on that task if it's

causing you to be in more pain.

As far as mysteries, yes, we have them. We try to

stick to the higher-quality stuff so you won't find

any horror mysteries or things like that. (Just on

principle, I refuse to carry copies of " Hannibal " , as

an example.) You probably already know this but

there's a really great mystery author named Laurie R.

King. I read all of her books last summer and they

were really awesome! They're cheap, too!

A Fibromyalgia-related question would be whether or

not you would be ok with the little paperbacks. I'm

finding them harder and harder to deal with because

the print is so small and I have to scrunch up my

hands to hold them. Let me know little things like

that. I'm sure I have extra copies laying around that

I could send you. Since I get them for about 25 cents

apiece most of the time, I'd really enjoy being able

to share them with you - at no cost, of course. The

back room is full of books that we won't/can't sell.

Next month or when it starts to warm up, we are going

to go out to California to visit BL's brother and

we'll get a barrel of books there. They save them all

year for us. His brother and sister-in-law are big

readers, too, and they get books for us at garage

sales.

Thank you, ! Really! :) The funny thing is that I

just asked BL to make up a web page with pictures of

the store, etc. He said he would get to it next week

some time.

Those of you who know how to do that sort of thing

just amaze me! I wouldn't know how to work a scanner

if you gave me one! :)

Dear Sher,

You can learn, can your husband teach?

PS I know this is not possible but I'd give an arm & leg for a

hardbound copy of Bruce Catton's " Mr Lincoln's Army " . Hopefully I

could manage to read with just one arm - not that anyone would want

the FMS/OA infested old thing.
