I am sorry, with all due respect I do not agree that we are sum totals

of our minds. Every thing in us connects. As humans we are products of

our minds, our bodies, and our spirits. To a great extent we can change

who we are and inhance our lives and the lives of others around us with

our minds but we are also prisoners of our genes, our chemicals and our

experiences. Of course settling the mind helps but that is not aways

possible. As I have said before I have a friend who meditates every day

and has done so for years. She was the queen of serenity. When her

thryroid rose slightly out her normal range she was unable to mediate or

even pray. I thanked God for this because she certainly pumped out the

advise on mediatation when I was in a terrible state and she found

herself a little more empathic the world.
