Can you get to counseling? You need some help from the right kind of support people. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about your community or Canada for that matter. Keep reaching out until you hit upon that one angel who will provide what you need. Ignore what your family says. They are *wrong*. What you are saying is reminding me a lot of a good friend of mine who is in an abusive marraige. I have seen her self-esteem wither away to nothing after being mistreated by the man that she " loves " . Finally, she started to recognize what was happening and began to stand up for herself and rebuild her self. It took a lot of time and huge amounts of energy. All the while, she is still with the guy so for each step forward she'd make, he'd do something to set her back 2 steps. If you can't get out from under your family and into a better environment, it will be very difficult to get on in spite of them. But -- you can do it. Try to keep your wits about you. Recognize the situation. Focus on how to get out. And take steps every day toward that goal. It might not happen quickly, but it will happen. Continue to vent to us. You need an outlet for all of those emotions. We're a safe place to share it. But please please please don't act on any of your self-destructive feelings. It's ok to feel that way sometimes, but don't take action. The world needs you. You have a lot to offer. We just need to get you into a better environment and find the supports you need. I know I can't really help. We are all so far away and don't really know exactly what you are dealing with. But -- we really do care for you.
