Kitty, what part of Ten. are you from? We lived in several areas of Tenn.

when we were first married. Both of my boys were born in Tenn.

My hubby and youngest son are in a Gospel singing group and they have a New

year's singing, about a 3 hr drive from our house, so I told them to count

me out,

so I guess I will be celebrating the New Year with my puppy and puter, LOL

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

----

, we're in Chattanooga - well, just northeast of the city in a

" suburb " What parts did you live in? We were in Memphis for five years

(five LONG years!) but have been back " home " in east TN for two years now

....

We had a " commitment " to a New Year's Eve party down in GA (just about a 45+

minute drive) but, THANK GOODNESS, the husband was diagnosed with strep

throat (well, I'm NOT thankful that he has strep!!) so we DON'T have to go

(to be totally honest, I was dreading this evening - long story!!) ... so,

it appears that my husband and I, along with possibly his cousin and

cousin's wife, and perhaps my cousin, will be ringing in the New Year here

instead ... I envision eating chocolate in front of our theatre

entertainment system, watching movies, chatting and flipping over to see

Dick and watch the ball drop -- my idea of a good time this year! ...

of course, six cats and two dogs will also be ringing in the year with us

....

So, your celebration really sounds like a winner to me -- ENJOY some time

alone and do what makes YOU happy!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to All!!

~ " Kitty "
