Guest guest
Well I awoke yesterday with a UTI, and back pain. The doctor started me on Bactrim, has everyone had success with this drug? We are going to Cancun tomorrow and I noticed it says to stay out of the sunlight on the bottle!
Guest guest
From personal experience, Bactrim works BUT the sun can cause extreme problems. I was out in the sun for about 30 minutes and had an extreme allergic reaction - hives all over where the sun hit me. It does not hit everyone, but don't risk the sun. Tell the doctor and see if he will try a different med. Guest guest
Someone probably already answered this, but Bactrim is an antibiotic. The success of this antibiotic depends on what type of bacteria is causing your infection. Take care, le
Guest guest
Ken has taken Bactrim often. I thought it was a sulfa drug rather than an antibiotic. Barbara
Guest guest
Barbara, Yes, Bactrim is a sulfa drug. It kills bacteria, so some people refer to it as an antibiotic, but the correct class is sulfa drug.
