Guest guest
Jackie, I had 4 amalgams removed. I did end up getting a vitamin c iv with other supplements like b-vitamins, selenium, calcium, etc. in it afterwards in an iv drip. The comprehensive wellness profile I had done includes: Lipid panel (cholesterol, HDL, LDL, the risk ratio, triglycerides), Complete Blood Count (CBC's), Fluids and Electrolytes, Thyroid Panel w/TSH, Liver Panel, Kidney Panel, Glucose (Diabetes), Mineral and Bone. Its cost was $89. The other tests I had done were the amino acids, fatty acids, hair elements, and comprehensive stool analysis test. All of them were done through direct labs except for the stool test as that was done through my doctor. At direct labs you can order your own tests and if its a blood draw they'll give you a list of labs closest to you to get it done at. The amino acids($286) and fatty acids($249) test are processed through the Metametrix Lab and the hair elements($93) and stool test are processed through Doctor's Data lab. The complete wellness profile was processed through labcorp. The price of the stool test through direct labs is $279. The way I choose the tests I did was based on info I've read on the web, others I have talked to that have gone through this, and a doctor. I did the stool test because for the last year I've thought candida is probably an issue for me. I felt this was important because if candida is an issue its not suggested that you use dmsa for chelating. I did the amino acids test because I had this done when I was a kid and was low in several amino acids, doctors never touched it though. I've seen the great results I've had with vitamins and would like to work on amino acids with a doctor if I have deficincies still in them. The fatty acids I've never had done and thought it would be a good idea. The comprehensive wellness profile I decided to do because its been while since I've had this done and when I was a kid I had high cholesterol. I also did it for kidney and liver baselines before doing chelation. I did the hair elements test because I decided against doing the dmps challenge test deciding that was too risky and decided that the hair tests for mercury and other metals would be a better option for me. I don't know if dmsa will be an option for me if candida is an issue and am still awaiting for most of my test results. I'm currently doing the amino acids test and need to do the fatty acids test, I've been so busy I haven't had much time to do those 2 which I have left. I'm a little concerned about dmps since I have a zinc deficincy. I might try other options before starting dmps or dmsa and hopefully be able to do dmps or dmsa for as little time as possible. Many people with candida [most Hg toxic people have it] use DMSA. It can aggrivate candida which is why they treat their in conjunction with chealtion. ALA aggrivates candida for many people also. DMPS does not seem to. > > I don't know if dmsa will be an option for me if candida is an issue > and am still awaiting for most of my test results. > I'm a little concerned about dmps since I have a zinc deficincy. TK--- Zinc deficiency on a hair analysis ? If you are Hg toxic this may be misleading on a hair analysis do to the Hg squeing mineral transportation. Lots of us thanks to the Hg do, this is not a concern as it will not get better unless you chelate the Hg if that is what is causing it. Zinc is one of the supplements Andy recommends needed during chelation. Guest guest
> > Am I to understand that Andy only recommends oral chelation? TK--- Yes, that is the protocol here for Hg poisoning from amalgams and typical exposure. Please read through the links and files sections to get the information you need to make a better educated decision. Also get Andy's book before you decide to use any chelation. > > I'm about to start having amalgams replaced, and expected to do IV > chelation. Is this not the way to go? And, if so, why? TK--- Very bad idea !!! IV chelation therapy redistributes huge amounts of Hg and will either make you very sick now or later as the damage from them shows up. Guest guest
Hi, The result of using raw garlic and onion, with every meal to kill parasite, caused me severe pain in my intestine, followed by stomach pain. Slippery elm helped a lot to lessen the pain, thank you . The one remaining mercury was removed last week; Moira suggests to wait 3 months to start ala. Does it matter how tiny the filling was? Other fillings were removed over six years ago-I didn't know about chelation. I feel my brain loaded with mercury; is it useful to chelate with out ala? I haven't started chelating, yet. For I need to support my adrenal and thyroid first; within 4 hours, my temperature read 96.1 - 98.1- 97.7. Or it is too much to combine all the treatments, what do you think? Sorry this question may be addressed before, but I am too tired to search or even read these days. Thank you, Sardar

TK--- start with adrenal and thyroid then add chelation once you have these balanced. start with one thing at a time so you can tell what is causing what or it will get confusing. > Sorry this question may be addressed before, but I am too tired to > search or even read these days. > > Thank you, > Sardar >

When you have die-off symptoms you should back off. There is probably a more appropriate agent or drug that is better for the amoebiasis, although you may still have to take it slow. Are you feeling better now? I'm glad the slippery elm helped. > The one remaining mercury was removed last week; Moira suggests to wait > 3 months to start ala. You should always start things one at a time so that if there are side effects you will know what is causing them. I would start adrenal treatment first, then thyroid, then start chelation. You should already be adding supplements (you can start each at a fairly low dose and increase if things seem to go well). If you run into side effects, or if you have questions about doses, ask the group. We will try to help. > Sorry this question may be addressed before, but I am too tired to > search or even read these days. We all understand. We'll do our best to help you get feeling better. It's so great that you got that last filling removed! You're one big step closer to feeling better. -- > Thank you, > Sardar >
Guest guest
>Here's a list from Andy:< http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Autism-Mercury/message/36183 Welcome That is most of my diet consist of; except dairy, and recently garlic and onion. It has been said that the favoured food is likely to be the culprit. I start avoiding them today. Sardar

When you have die-off symptoms you should back off.< I was already eating them whenever I felt nausea; they helped to clear out bacteria, and other organism, while inflamed my GI system. It may even not be a parasite as a cause of my problem, but rather a symptom of other disfunction in my body. Since taking slippery elm, I have been sleeping better, no abdominal pain-despite of being sick all over. It tells me that I need to be kinder to my stomach. >You should always start things one at a time so that if there are side effects you will know what is causing them. I would start adrenal treatment first, then thyroid, then start chelation.< My appointment is tomorrow, and see what he recommends. It has to be one thing at a time, since I have a sensitive stomach. I haven't taken any supplements in 4 days. >If you run into side effects, or if you have questions about doses, ask the group. We will try to help.< >We all understand.
