Guest guest
Got an early Xmas present in the mail today. It is my surgery date. Jan. 27, 2004 Which is as close a date that I can get to my other anniversary dates. Jan. 26, 1989 is my date for AA ( quit drinking ), Jan. 26 1995 is the day I quit smoking, and now Jan. 27, 2004 for WLS ( no surgery on Mondays so Tuesday the 27th will do..) must be some sort of a sign. I did not request that date, it is just the date they scheduled me, works for me. Well I am now on that last run of weight loss, to meet my pre-op weight, got another 10 lbs to go by my pre-op Doc visit on Jan. 12. I also got a release from my wife…..I do not have to attend Xmas family gathering at her sisters house. They are Greek and love to eat, I simply told her I don't want to face ALL that, not at this point, I have gone all the last 8 years so missing this one is no biggy. I really want to stay focused now that I have a date and get into the best shape I can prior to surgery. Diet and the gym on a daily basis is in order. We ordered a recliner for the house, got my drinks stocked up, wife is ready to whip up SF jello or broth upon request (isn't she sweet ? ) Well you all have a Merry Christmas and stay true to yourself, watch what you eat, and don't drink and drive.
