Hi, all-

The last two downloads of my email have had a message in it from:

with the subject (MSA) unknown. It has an attachment with it.

My virus-checker (McAffee) stopped this message twice, because it contains

a viurs called w95/mtx@m. Don't open this message or your computer will get

infected. If you already have go to for more info and instructions on what

to do:

Kathy,

There are different kinds of virises that do different things.

This virus sends itself to anyone you send an email to. Others can

destroy your hard drive or otherwise mess up your computer.

Both Norton on my computer and McAfee on someone elses computer caught

this one. I updated my virus protection on Dec 31st luckily.

Somehow though Barb Selleck's Norton

missed it. I did have to go in manually and remove it from about

a dozen files. The new Norton (costs $40-50 at most discount stores)

updates itself every time you go online.

It is best to get a virus checker and update it often.

Take care, Bill and Charlotte

Well, just got a email with the virus in it from you... So, yes, your system

is now infected Dawn. You need to purchase some virus software as soon as

possible.

Barbara and all,

I don't know if I opened this attachment or not from . I saw

it this morning and tried to open it but got impatient after a few seconds

and closed it. If I got infected with this virus would I know it. I have

not been an Internet user for very long so I don't know how all this works.

If everything seems to be working OK, does that mean it is?
