Hello everyone, I'm one of those lurkie lews that rarely posts but

reads every one.

I'm a 38 year old female, BMI 50, no comorbidities.

I have 2 sons (4 & 2), I am happily married, and my surgery is

January 29th in San Diego with DR. Rumsey.

I'm starting to get scared. Not of having the surgery, but of how I

will behave towards food afterwards. I feel I have such little self

control now with food, I don't want to go through this major life

change only to have me sabbotage it with my lack of self discipline.

Dr. Rumsey said he would like to se me lose 18 lbs. before surgery.

I lost 15 before the holidays, but guess who's baa aack!

I don't know if I'm just flippin out cause the reality of the surgery

is so near, or if it's because I feel like I'm not going to live up

to my end of the deal afterwards.

Any words of wisdom will be most welcome!!

HI LORI AND EVERYONE, I

TOO HAVE SURGERY COMING UP IN 12 MORE

DAYS… AND FEELING SO OVERLY WHELMED.

AND ANXIOUS. LORI SINCE

WE’RE HAVING SURGERY THE SAME DAY,

WANTED TO SAY I’M HAPPY TO AT LEASE

KNOW SOME ONE GOING DOWN TO SAN DIEGO AT THE SAME

TIME AS ME.

MY HUSBAND AND I ARE GOING A FEW DAYS

AHEAD TO RELAX, AND GET MY

HEAD ON STRAIGHT. LOOKING SO FORWARD

TO GETTING TO THE OTHER SIDE

OF THE LIGHTER SIDE TOO! I’AM A

55 YRS OLD MOM OF TWO DAUGHTERS, AND

TWO GRAND CHILDREN. I LL BE

TRAVELING FROM SAN JOSE, TO SAN DIEGO, AND STAYING

AT THE SOMMERSET SUITES.

I’VE BEEN REALLY FIGHTING TO GET RID

OF MY REQUIRED 10%. AND KEEPING

IT OFF, AND NOT GAINING

BEFORE I GET TO SAN DIEGO.

SELF CONTROLL IS NOT

ONE OF MY SUBJECTS OF

EXPERTISE. I DO KNOW ALL THE GROUP MEETINGS I

DO ATTEND, REALLY GIVE

ME LOTS OF SUPPORT, AS DOES THIS GROUP SUPPORT.

WHAT AREA ARE YOU FROM? I WAS

IN A GROUP TONIGHT THAT HAS GIVEN ME

LOTS OF HELP AND A FEW I EVEN SPEAK TO ON

THE PHONE FOR SUPPORT.

PACIFIC BARIATRICS SEMINAR IS GOING

TO BE IN SAN JOSE

NEXT WEEK AT THE

SANTA TERESA

HOSPITAL, AND I’LL BE THERE

FOR MY WEIGH IN AND ALSO TO

ATTEND THE SEMINAR FOR

REINFORCEMENT OF WHAT I’M DOING…. HAHA.
