Guest guest
Hello there, Well, I've heard wonderful things about Dr. Baggs, but as it seems I've been assigned to South San Francisco, I need to talk to folks who had surgery there. Does anyone have the link to their bariatric surgery page? Also, would like information on your experiences and some of the surgeons there. I got my approval letter but no appointments yet. My friend is going through Richmond and she already has her appointments. We attended our appointment with the nutritionist and behavioral specialist the same day and our letters were sent and received the same day. She was surprised we were assigned to different facilities but I guess that's just due to openings. Any more info would be great appreciated. Guest guest
Hi This site may help you find out some info about the doctors at SSF from other Kaiser members. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/hospital-detail-465.html I received my approval letter from SSF on Februay 25th, and just found out today, April 1st, that I have my Orientation Class scheduled for May 11th. I still do not know when I see the surgeon. It does seem to be taking forever. However, SSF does have some pluses, I hear. The rooms are private. I really will enjoy that. And I have heard that Dr. Gorrin and Dr. Umbach are good. Good luck. If I hear anything else, I will let you know. I hope this helped. > Hello there, > > Well, I've heard wonderful things about Dr. Baggs, but as it seems I've been assigned to South San Francisco, I need to talk to folks who had surgery there. Guest guest
Hi, Well, that's a long time between; I just check the Kaiser website and no appointments scheduled yet. I think my friend who got her letter the same day that I did but for Richmond already has her appointments scheduled, so maybe SSF is a lot slower. I wanted northern California because my nephew is flying in from Montreal and then coming back to Sacramento with me and he really didn't want to have to pay for a flight to San Diego and then one to Sacramento. I did kind of want Richmond because I've heard such great things about Dr. Baggs, but at this point, it doesn't much matter as long as it happens. Maybe we'll end up being in the same orientation and support groups. Where do you live? Guest guest
Hi Chris: I had my surgery 5/28/03 open RNY by Dr. Gorrin. I loved him. I only saw him pre-op and then post-op in the hospital and have seen Dr. Stiles for my post op out patient appointments. Both Dr. Gorrin and Dr. Stiles are great in my book. I am a no-nonsense kinda gal and they gave me the straight scoop. Dr. Stiles had also been great about my little pep talks I need every once in awhile. Good luck. It is great on the other side. 5/28/03 SSF 316/196 --- chris lopez wrote: > Hello there, > > Well, I've heard wonderful things about Dr. Baggs, > but as it seems I've been assigned to South San > Francisco, I need to talk to folks who had surgery > there. Guest guest
Hi I live in Sacramento and go to Kaiser South. Maybe we will end up in some of the same groups. Hope to see you there.
