Hello there,

Well, I've heard wonderful things about Dr. Baggs, but as it seems I've been assigned to South San Francisco, I need to talk to folks who had surgery there. Does anyone have the link to their bariatric surgery page? Also, would like information on your experiences and some of the surgeons there. I got my approval letter but no appointments yet. My friend is going through Richmond and she already has her appointments. We attended our appointment with the nutritionist and behavioral specialist the same day and our letters were sent and received the same day. She was surprised we were assigned to different facilities but I guess that's just due to openings.

Any more info would be great appreciated.

Chris

Hi woobedo,

I read here that you are scheduled for orientation at SSF on May

11th, 2004. Just to give you alittle insight on what the process

might be. I had orientation at SSF on January 3, 2004, went to

several pre-op support meetings, exercised, lost weight, meet with Dr

Stiles who then tells you how much weight you are required to lose

before you can have surgery, then after I reached only 10lbs out of

25lbs that I was to lose. At that time or I should say maybe a week

later I was scheduled for surgery. I met with my surgeon and that was

on March 16th, 2004 w/ Dr Gorrin and he is a wonderful doctor and a

board certified physician, who has been doing this for over 11yrs.

After meeting with Dr Gorrin I am now having my surgery on April 7th,

2004 and I have to say that this was a faster process than I had

anticipated.

Good luck with the process, BE PATIENT!! Gain as much knowledge about

this surgery as possible, go to your support meetings (the people

there are great!), EXERCISE, EXERCISE, EXERCISE after you weigh in at

your orientation.

God Bless you,

290/277/??
