I have lupus too I think (my dr just told me last time, and I think I understood it right but not sure) How much " better " is possible to get with this correctly done chelation? I am going to the dr thursday, so just however long it takes to get the DMSA then I will be starting it. I just really hope it helps. Sometimes it seems like so many different things I've tried don't really help, or just help a little. Like when I started taking cortef, it seemed like a huge difference (compared to how I was before it) but then when comparing myself to " healthy " people, I have so far to go. Also, I was really excited about finiding about the mercury, because I thought - here's something that can actually be fixed and have some hope to get better (I thought I just had to live with all of this stuff and not be able to do anything about it.) Someone asked me - why are you making such a big deal of it. Your mercury is only in " elevated " not " high elevated " so they didn't think it was that big of a deal. (I guess they don't really know that much about it...or maybe just trying to dismiss it so as to not scare themselves.) I was trying to research treatments, find the best ones, etc (I am so glad I did, because otherwise I think my dr would have talked me into a DMSA challenge IV - I told him no way after reading the info on it.) I don't understand people saying - oh don't worry about it, maybe just wait and see what happens, it is not like it is toxic or an emergency! They said that probabably 90% of people have elevated mercury levels so I should jsut stop worrying about it ?! So I was just hopeing for some encouragement/reassurance that I'm doing the right thing here, and that there is some hope to getting better - especially with the " brain fog " /cognitive type of symptoms. Those are SO tough for me because they interfere with almost everyhting I am trying to do. I even wouldn't mind as much if some of the pain and fatigue didn't go away completely if I could just THINK CLEARLY and not have all the cognitive type problems(I don't know a better name for it)!!! Also what should I expect when starting DMSA? > > > > > I have adrenal insufficiency, but no thyroid > > problems... > > I have both. > :0) > > __________________________________ Yahoo!
