Guest guest
If your docs want to help tell them to schedule a full body Gallium or PET scan. Both will locate Sarc hotspots in your body. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT let them perform a brain biopsy. It is contraindicated for persons with Sarc. With the Gallium or PET scan you can find other areas of the body to biopsy if necessary. Shar > Well here is what I know. There is the lesion on the MRI which is " unusual " in appearance. It extends a bit past the surface of the medulla and looks almost like a coating on the MRI. Lumbar punctures reveal high protein and no cancer cells. and some other feature the doctor said was highly suggestive of a demylinating disease. At the outset of this mess I was told it was likely demylinating disease, then maybe a AVM, now maybe a tumor and a couple of people have now brought up sarcoid. My ANA was slightly elevated in October(which they say means nothing but I read on emedicine can be positive in sarcoid). Some of my joints hurt now so it could be worse I have no idea.
