Zantac/Zyrtec (twice a day) gave me full control for a while and then the urticaria seemed to break through and I started to get outbreaks. Not major ones which included angioedema, but enough to require adding Benadryl more and more often. Found info on this list on Accolate and CU and showed it to my doctor. He prescribed it (3 months ago) and now I have full control. Occasionally I will get a small oubreak caused by wearing certain clothing or inadvertently ingesting food additives or preservates, but that is it. Hope is lasts. Doctor recommended not to try reduce meds for at least another four months or so. Will probably try when Summer is over. Don't do well in hot humid weather. No sense looking for trouble. There are a few others on the list who are taking or have tried Accolate. It works for some of us but not all. Glad it also brought you some relief.
