Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have a update. Yesterday I went in to see doctor Baggs and they also weighed me in and to my surprize I was actualy thinking the scale was going to say 214 still but it didn’t it was 212 so I am very happy. Surgery date is still set for March 2, 2004 with Dr Baggs I took a before picture with him yesterday. His assistant nurse took it for us. I asked all my questions. He was very happy for me joining 24 hr Fittness. I was intrested in as how long untill I could do abs workouts after surgery he said at least 1 month. But I could do cardio and weights for my arms and legs within the week after surgery. I think also I kind of know what these large surgery’s can feel like because I had a C section that didn’t go to well because I had a leak of stomach acids so he may after all have to go open on me. We will see. Either way I am not backing down I have made it this far and I feel great. My BP Was up yesterday at my appt. Weird thing is I didn’t feel it that time. Everything else is going realy well so see you soon on the other side…. Tina Marie, In Healdsburg

Guest guest
Tina Marie Congratulations! March is not very far away. I see Dr. Baggs next Friday for my consultation. Will they schedule surgery for me if I have lost the required weight or close by my orientation date? Or will I have to wait until I have another appt with Dr. Baggs? Guest guest
I am not really sure sometimes they count the before weight sometimes they don’t. Me I had to loose it twice they didn’t count it with me. I was 244 when I started this fight. They told me I had to loose 15%, and so on so I got down to 233 thinking they would count what I all ready lost. Dr. Park said no. I don’t think it was fair but I am not the one to complain either. So far I have had it ok. I would like to keep it that way with no conflicts of interest but if I where you I would wait till you see the surgeon or the class and ask at the class for them to put it down on paper so you don’t have to do it twice. Because the second time does seem harder emotionally when you know you already did it the first time they asked. They said they would schedule me at 5 lbs away they would see me 10 lbs away to consider the date but they scheduled me at 5 lbs away from goal. So I sit here at 2 lbs away right now on a cancellation list with a star by my name. I am told by Dr Baggs. It means I will be the one to call if someone else gets sick or backs out of their surgery. Right now I just went out tonight and got the rest of my vitamins from Trader Joe’s And I am having problems with one of my hands being numb and swollen from my blood pressure I think Maybe it’s the diabetes I can never tell Beside being the fact of being really, really thirsty like I am today I been drinking water like a fish but I am not feeling much hungry. Ohh well day gone I need to get some good rest tonight tomorrow will be a new day. You have a good one… Tina Marie in Healdsburg PS is there anyone going to the group on the 12th in Richmond or am I the only one being requested to go? · My Weight Loss Surgery Page · http://www.oregonorigins.com/wls.html

Guest guest
Richmond Kaiser DOES NOT count any weight lost before the first appointment there, with the bariatrics program. This means the initial consult or orientation, whichever comes first. The starting weight at that meeting is the one that you have to lose 10% of. Not all PCPs are aware of this, and some are telling their patients that any weight lost before the first Richmond Bariatrics program appointment will count toward the 10%. They are WRONG! tina wrote: > I am not really sure sometimes they count the before weight sometimes > they don’t. Me I had to loose it twice they didn’t count it with me.
