Hi there! I have been reading your postings, but not participating much

lately. My hives were being controlled well by a yeast free diet for

about 2 months. Then I went on vacation and got off the diet and the

hives returned. Now I can not seem to stick with the diet.

Frustrating!! I am not sure if it is that school is started and I have

a DIFFICULT class, or that I am just not ready for the diet again.

You'd think that I would easily be able to stick to it since the hives

improve so much. I am trying not to beat myself up too much over it.

I am writing for another reason. I get severe hives and swelling when I

take antihistamines (tried them all) and NSAIDs. So I have just been

staying away from them. Recently I developed hemorrhoids and had some

removed at the doctor (PAINFUL!!!!!). The doctor gave me a topical

ointment for the area, but was afraid it would cause hives there (it is

an anti-inflammatory, I think). Well, I don't have hives in the area,

but it seems to have caused huge hives all over my body. It looks just

like I have taken Zyrtec or Advil or something of the sort. You know how

hives look different when different things irritate them. This is not a

" I ate sugar " rash. This is a medicine rash. I really need the topical

stuff right now and I am not having any swelling, so I am still applying

the medication. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice? The

topical is called Analphram HC Cream 1%. It contains Hydrocortisone

Acetate and Pramoxine HCl (whatever that is).

Thank you

Connie
