That is an excellent idea Tami! That is exactly what my mom did. Her cats

love it...it gives them a taste of the outdoors with none of the danger.

(Your neighbor is a horrible woman!!) If you want to write to her and ask

about it, she won't mind. She has fibromyalgia too. Her addy is

AlyceAnn47@...

Hope this helps!! :)

Hello

That was my thought exactly. I am sorry you are having such a tough time

with her.

She seems to lack simple reasoning skills. I think you have made many

offers

to try and work with her but she is being irrational, my dear. Also I would

not trust her !

Take care and I hope you can solve the problem without anymore added

stress.

Hugs

>The layout of the house is such that there are walls with concrete and

such and a driveway where they can sit on the walls, jump to the driveway

and leave....the drive goes down into a garage, which they have access to

as it is a garage/basement and then there is also the other half that goes

up to the gate to the yard (next to the drive), and on under the

carport..it's one large concrete area....so it won't work...it involves

both house gates to the yard, a porch, covered but the wall on one side

goes easily to the drive, and an open porch with walls that they can jump

out of the yard...and I have been told by people here that she is not just

like this with cats....her life is inside the house, she only comes out to

" do " her yard, she lives alone, has few acquaintances and is so MEAN that

her own grandchildren don't want to spend time with her.....so I don't feel

quite so bad....but poor Ciana is still shivering...I hope he won't go

there again....and he's the only one so far who has gone there. Don't get

me wrong...if it was practical to mothball my yard I would....I even

thought about putting up a privacy fence...one of the 6' jobs...and still

may....anything for peace....it even briefly crossed my mind to go back to

the other house....Dee

Thanks for the responses....I thought she was way off the deep end.....when

I can't think of anything to do but walk away then usually something isn't

right....I do everything I can to work with people, as I hate

confrontations...but she wanted to react this way and wanted to be

hateful....I mean, come on....if you were told the animal couldn't jump out

of the yard and was hearing impaired so he couldn't respond to your calls

wouldn't you stop and let the owner come and get him??? I know I

would....he isn't DANGEROUS or anything...he simply can't jump or hear well

since the animal ripped up his head.....he looks fairly normal....head

tilts to the side all the time though, and she had no mercy and chased the

poor thing.....if it was any other cat I would still have been angry but to

have told her and for her to still run him when all he could do was circle

the fencing and not get out.....give me a break....I keep track of him

closely now....Dee

I have a neighbor that has had my cats taken away from me. She lures them over

there, starts to feed them, and then when i cant get them to come back over to

my house. She called the shelter and they came and picked them up when i was in

the hospital. Before she had them picked up the shelter called me and told me

that there was a complaint by a neighbor.....so now my cats are all inside cats.

They want to go out so bad. I am thinking of making a cat house out back. where

they can go out when they want to but cant get out of the inclosed area.

that...she can't stand them near her yard and FEED them....she'd rather

threaten to scald them....but I know what you mean...baby Cody wanted to go

out and somehow he got out....but you never heard such screaming to get in

again in your life....I think he's an indoors cat forever now....scared

him silly...he literally crawled up my jeans until I caught him and picked

him up...then he wrapped his paws (and claws) around my neck.....Dee

Awwww, poor kitty! I can believe how mean people can be! I am a cat lover too

and I don't know what I would do if a neighbor of mine did that to me! We are

blessed and live out in the country where we and our neighbors are not very

close together. Even if our cats did wander over there, they wouldn't mind.

We are blessed with good neighbors. The Lord created cats very special. I see

the sweetness and playfulness of God's own personality in kitties, and in all

His beautiful creatures. I hope you can build that special play area for them

where they can be safe. glo
