Guest guest
, If you can find an arthritis range of motion class that would be the best place to start. They are often done in swimming pools like the "Y" or community centers. You want to learn to do stretching exercises, but your want to learn to do them right. You don't bounce or stretsh suddenly, you do slow repetitions and hold them. Take care, Bill and Charlotte Bushnell wrote: I would like some suggestions of exercises I can do. I think that I have went from acceptance to denial and here I am again. Almost hoping that when I got to California, all the bad stuff would go away. Went for a walk awhile back and thought I was about to die, so I know I am out of shape and beginning to freeze up. Fisher, I know how you say "use it or lose it" and I didn't really think that was happening quite yet. So anyway, I need to do something about it. About 1/4 of a mile is my limit on walking. Would an exercise bicycle help me? What about stretching? I'm sure I have all this info on my other computer, but I'm starting from scratch here on my laptop until the other one arrives from Alabama. Any help would be appreciated. Love, Prayers & E-hugs, (\0/) Bushnell /_\

Guest guest
, You might want to check out this page for some basic exercise videos: http://marketfinder.com/amselect/sponsor/exercise-fitness/activevideos.html These are exercise videos directed for seniors. There are lots of gentle exercise videos, some for walking and stretching, some for people with limited mobility, exercise videos for people in wheelchairs, aquatic exercise videos, and some for things like tai chi. Just give it a look and follow the links for details. Hope this helps, Rehm Bushnell wrote: I would like some suggestions of exercises I can do. Guest guest
Greetings ! Sorry for the delay. Think you probably got all the pointers you might possibly want. However, I would add that my PT added balance exercises to the range of motion exercises. Since I like to walk on trails, this isn't much of a problem! But I can always tell when I skip those walks for several days. Regards, =jbf= B. Fisher
