Guest guest
Dear Jan: Good for you for getting out. I AM jealous. I'm a stick in the mud when comes to getting out at night. Usually just too tired. I commend you! Maybe you'll inspire me to do something like that some time. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of the baby for your whole family. It must feel just so sad. I'm glad you're taking it easy on yourself right now. Peggy Re: Thanks Jacqui, thank you for the kind words. I only hope that she can get pregnant again and have a healthy baby. , welcome. Guest guest
WOW today was my first day on the list. I'm amazed at what a wonderful group you are . All the information and compassion. I've already copied several letters to take to our next Dr's appoint. Thanks
Guest guest
I want to thank everyone for their words of support and sympathy for my mother Joyce's death. I am still shocked at her death and how fast the illness swept through her. I know from this list, that that time frame is not typical (if ANYTHING is typical about this illness). It is hard not being able to call her everyday and it is hard to stop worrying about her. Part of me wants to give up all the MSA talk altogether. But that is not possible. I will remain on the list in case someone enters our group with a similar symptoms set to my mother's. If I am not active, it is only because I do not have anything to contribute to the topics at hand. I will, however, be here, and will never stop being amazed at all of you. Everyone else in my life is lucky enough not to have to stop every minute to appreciate what is in front of them. Being in this group keeps me in check. You are all my heros. Guest guest
Debbie if you decide you need to take a break from MSA talk for awhile we'll understand. A few times I nearly gave it up altogether but I decided to just take a couple mental health breaks in the past couple years and it really helped. If you want to help others you need to take care of yourself first. Take it a day at a time, grieving doesn't have a set schedule. Guest guest
I don’t know what the bypass class is. What dr. appt do you have scheduled? I understand the wanting it now. We have spent our whole lives being obese and when we finally come to the decision to pursue surgery, we have spent a lot of time thinking and researching. Unfortunately, the system requires time to catch up with us. Check with your PCP to see if your referral has been sent to KSSF. If it has, and if it has been about 2 weeks, then call Marina to check to see that she got it and that it is in process. Her number is . After that you wait until you get your approval. In the meantime, go to support group meetings, stay online (www.obesityhelp.com) and on the email lists to learn as much as you can. Yes the wait can be long but it is worth it. Thanks I was in the Psych office and he faxed my approval while I was in his office. The Dietician did the same thing. What do I do now ? I have on Oct 15 the bypass class and a Dr appt the end of this month. When I talked to my Dr she said it takes 2 weeks for approval and then about 6 weeks to get an surgery date. I am getting sooo confused over this. I am one of thoses people who make up there mind and then I want it done NOW. but I do know that it is going to take time and I should quit biteing my nails, the day will come. Thanks and let me know if I should do more or just let it rest. I know with Kaiser you sometimes must kick them in the bottom to get the ball rolling.
