,

I don't cut out the toes, but that's just us. I imagine Annika's feet do

get sweaty, but at least we're dealing with leather and not man made stuff.

There were a couple of times when Annika was in the shoes 24/7 that I did

notice some black gunk in the shoes, which I assume was mold. So, keep

an eye out for that. I don't notice that Annika's feet are really stinky

now; I can't remember that they were when she was 24/7. However, I do

remember they were sweaty (we were 24/7 June 16th to Sept 16th so it was

warm here) I have always dressed my kids as though blankets would be tossed

off (they were/are both crib sleepers at the time). I have all snap crotch

clothing for Annika at night time. For the long legged items, I have ones

that snap from ankle to ankle so, if necessary, I can remove her clothing

without removing the shoes.

You could certainly try cutting the toes out of the socks. I don't know

if there would be a problem with the socks creeping back on her, but I

don't see why you couldn't try it. As long as the socks stay where they

need to, to protect her from rubbing on the leather....
