Guest guest
hi. we've got 2 questions for folks... Dear Pams: I'll try to answer. I think that the loss of balance COULD be from both the fibro and the ultram. I experience loss of balance when I close my eyes. This started before I began ultram, but I have heard that ultram can cause symptoms like this too. I was warned by a psychiatrist that Ultram can increase possibility of seizure in those who are taking some types of antidepressants. I'm on Zoloft and that is one of the ones that can cause seizures when taken with Ultram. He just warned me, but didn't take me off it. I haven't had any trouble yet. I'm glad for that, because Ultram helps me and I don't want to stop taking it. Fibromyalgia is considered to be a type of Arthritis. The Arthritis Association has support groups that are focused on just fibromyalgia in some locations. They also have pamphlets on fibromyalgia that many rheumatologists have in their offices. Rheumatologists specialize in autoimmune type diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and others. That is my understanding. If I am wrong, please someone correct me. I hope this helps some. Guest guest
Bad Balance..... I often find myself falling over to one side. I usually hit the wall beside my toilet when I get up. I thought it was the tubes in my ears which if they fall out can cause balance problems too. My Dr says it is most likely the fibro which can have a zillion symptoms. Makes sense to me. aka Spark

Guest guest
my balance has been off alot too lately, even before I passed out in PT. they said that it has to do with the inner ear. they said that it was an inner ear infection but the more that i read on the Chiari malformation the more i doubt it. ** , Stinky's caretaker** At first dreams seem impossible, then improbable, then invetible. Guest guest
>>I experience loss of balance when I close my eyes. Not that I want to sound like a broken record tonight but they do a test, called the Romberg's sign in which they make you close your eyes to see if you start swaying. It's one of the test they use for the chiari malformation. ** , Stinky's caretaker** At first dreams seem impossible, then improbable, then invetible. Guest guest
U are lucky to get the flu shot. I mean, i was scheduled for one on Tuesday but was called and said they dont have them in yet. There is a shortage. My doctor said " we have to give them to the elderly and at risk people first, but you fall in that catagory. She told me to call in a few weeks. Or if they get them they will call. Not sure i want to have one this year. I ended up in the hospital last yr the day after with lung problems. I was sick the week before and still not feeling well. But they did it anyways. Saying that I was well enough. Will be crossing my fingers this time and getting a bag packed ~~~Tami~~~
